What a great weekend! I have to thank the Lincoln Park Cultural Center. The staff is unbelievably helpful and friendly. Cindi and Steve continue to do an awesome job! The weather was beautiful this year. I enjoyed meeting new customers, seeing old ones and hearing what they had to say and what they would like me to create. My favorite part of the weekend was seeing the amount of people attracted to the crossword paintings. They were a huge hit and fun for all.
I am happy to announce that “Blooming Bows” made $25.00 that will be donated to charity in honor of my mom. New patterns are posted above. Please email if there is a pattern or color combo you don’t see and I will work to custom design for you. Thanks for all the support!! ~Amanda
Exhibiting in the Lincoln Park Art Fair this Saturday and Sunday at Lincoln Park Cultural Center 2045 N. Lincoln Park West.
Last year my mom flew out from Boston to help me and it was canceled due to the buckets of rain that poured all weekend. Earlier this year she passed away due to cancer. She had joined the Just Made It team just before that launching her “Blooming Bows” (photo below). She has and will always be the reason why I create and design. I will be selling her bows for charity. All proceeds will go to the Christmas Fund at Northeast Metro Tech in Wakefield, MA-the school she worked at. The Christmas Fund is for children that are homeless and less fortunate. One of her wishes before she passed was to continue donating to this fund. She was the best and this year the fair is for her…
I will also be exhibiting shadow box frames including names and designs. In addition to that I will be selling a few painted art pieces. I have received a lot of requests for the Crossword piece (see page 3 of blog for photo) so will be selling 2 Chicago themed pieces. Spread the word or just stop by, say hi, and help yourself to some candy:) Thanks! Amanda
My mom and I at the Lincoln Park Art Fair last year after we had just put up the tent only for it to rain even harder. It was canceled shortly after that.
In addition to my personalized name frames I am starting to experiment more with design in the shadow box frames. I am working on a new line of “Scraps”- trying to be enviromentally cautious, I thought how can I use my scraps from projects. This shadow box above is an example. I just had a customer purchase a set of four to hang as an art piece. It looked great hanging on the wall!
New on the scene: Girl hair bow holders (Bows hand crafted by Blooming Bows). I was going to debut these at the Lincoln Park Art Faire this past September that was cancelled due to weather. They can be attached to any size/style frame. Pick out your bows to go with. Cute gift idea. Ribbon is attached by velcro on the back so can be changed to match any room!
Acryllic canvas “Sleep-Drean” painting. Made to order.
